Commenced

After seven years of blood, sweat, tears, procrastination, and too much damn money, I graduated on Saturday.

I honestly didn't believe I would end up a college graduate until I walked into the Registrar's Office a week ago and paid for my last class.  It's a strange feeling, knowing I'm finally done.

My mom and Ryan are already placing bets on how long it will take me to go to grad school.

For now, I'm just enjoying total freedom from homework.

  1. Congratulations seems like too spontaneous of a word for something as worked for as a degree. Congrats is something I say to someone who just won $25. I am proud is something you say to a grad. You earned this is something you say to a grad. You are amazing and the whole world is in front of you is something you say to a grad. I aspire to be like you in that I earn my education and see my name in Old English font on that very expensive piece of paper, paid for with countless hours of studying, heartbreak, and approximately 123897237126709 liters of coffee weekly to stay awake.

    1. Haha, thanks so much Laurel! Just learn from my mistakes and don't procrastinate, unless you LIKE the idea of being in college for seven years!
